The Margate Hotel is a
boutique hotel conveniently situated at the entrance to Margate. The

rates that all can enjoy. The Margate Hotel was opened in 1932 and
has since become an icon on the South Coast. It is within walking
distance to all the local amenities and entertainment that Margate
has to offer. One of the biggest draw cards to Margate is its
beautiful Blue Flag beach, which is just a stone throw away from the

A three star hotel, the Margate Hotel was awarded the Bronze Arrow
Award by PMR Africa for being ranked one of the Top 4 Executive
Hotels on the coast. The hotel has recently undergone many upgrades,
including renovations to its rooms and dining area which can now
accommodate a function of up to 250 guests.

Honeymoon Suite, 7 Deluxe Family Suites, Standard Rooms, Deluxe
Rooms and Rooms offering a private balcony.
Conferencing: With 3 Conference Rooms and the newly renovated
Dining Room, The Margate Hotel can accommodate conferences with
ease. Each Conference Room is fitted with a sound system, microphone
and a projection screen
Facilities: The Pool area at the Margate Hotel is a treat for
any guest with three pools to choose from, a gazebo, umbrellas and a
number of comfortable loungers, it is the best place to relax and
unwind. Poolside and Room Service is available so that our guests
can have refreshments served to them at their convenience.
The Margate Hotel boasts an onsite restaurant in the form of the Keg
‘n Galleon which is always popular with visitors and locals alike.
If you would prefer a more intimate dining experience, these too can

Entertainment: The onsite Keg ‘n Galleon provides our guests

Just below the hotel is Backline, the club to visit. With DJs Wayne,
Ryan & Brent, the party will go until the early hours of the morning
with lots of fun to be had by all. For those not so keen for
dancing, there are pool tables on offer. Throughout the year, and
especially over season, Backline plays host to some of SA’s top DJs.
Over summer, Margate boasts the Summer Beach Festival and Big New
Years Eve Bash with many other entertainment opportunities
throughout the year. Some of which include Miss Hibiscus, live
bands, rugby at Douglas Mitchell and host to Africa Bike Week, why
