Southbroom Accommodation & Adventure.
South Coast Bed & Breakfast, Self Catering, Hotels & Caravan Parks in Kwazulu Natal on the South Coast, South Africa.

Southbroom’s history dates back to the year 1884 when Alfred Eyles, an English missionary from wick, near Bath, established a mission for the Society of Friends near the hill known as “Ntsaba” or, The Outlook. When he bought the area, however, he changed the name to Southbroom, after his Southbroom Hall family home in Wiltshire. Land surveyors, pleased to find a reminder of the ‘Old Country’, retained the name when officially declaring a town on the site in 1933.

Southbroom is suburb consisting of private homes and therefore never has that busy overcrowded feeling. There are great walks through lanes with beautiful shrubbery and wild flowers.
350m away is a stunning long expanse of pristine uncrowded beach and a little further on is a large kiddies tidal pool, with clean well maintained toilets on the edge of beach. Great surfing and fishing can be found right along the Southbroom coastline, with the main beach (with an adjoining large lagoon) providing life-guard supervision.
On the beach front within Southbroom, you have the choice of two super restaurants and in the village of Southbroom there are other restaurants, a superette, beauty salons, coffee shop, a post office, bottle store, boutique and furnishing shop, as well as 2 car hire outlets. Additionally very close to Southbroom there is a massive array of restaurants and festive pubs.
